The second Salesforce B2C Commerce release of 2026 (26.2) is rolling out in waves across instance groups. The release window runs from January 27 to February 26, 2026. As usual, exact rollout timing can vary by region and instance group, so it's worth checking the official deployment schedule for the most accurate dates. If you manage multiple sandboxes/instances or run customer-facing storefront changes on a tight cadence, 26.2 is a good checkpoint release to review operational controls, merchandising productivity, checkout experience improvements, and API/tooling guardrails.

Salesforce is opening 2026 with the B2C Commerce 26.1 release, rolling out between December 4, 2025 and January 29, 2026, depending on your POD. This first drop of the year brings a set of focused improvements across shopping experience, payments, search, and Business Manager operations — more about making day-to-day commerce smoother than radically changing how your storefront works.

Salesforce recently announced significant new investments in Salesforce Commerce B2C (formerly Demandware). This update represents a pivotal moment for the entire community of partners and customers, opening new horizons and reinforcing the platform's leadership.

B2C Commerce 23.8 is scheduled to be released between July 20 and Aug 22, 2023. At the moment (21/07/2023), there is only one new feature announced by the SFCC team, this feature is about "Get Accurate Allocation Amounts with a Null Allocation Payload".

The B2C Commerce 23.7 release, spanning from June 15 to July 25, 2023, introduces several new enhancements. Search refinement capabilities have been added to B2C Commerce OCAPI and SCAPI, allowing more targeted promotion searches. A new script API, PromotionMgr.getActiveCustomerPromotions, makes active promotions, including coupon-based ones, more accessible, enhancing the shopper experience. B2C Commerce direct integration cartridge, Google Inventory Listings, is also available, offering increased product discoverability on Google's free product listings, thereby potentially driving more foot traffic to local stores. B2C Commerce Business Manager now also sends alert notifications for rejected orders, which can be integrated with Slack for more seamless monitoring. Lastly, in line with ECMAScript 2019, the B2C Commerce Script API methods Array.sort() and Array.sort(function) have been documented as stable.

The B2C Commerce 23.6 update, slated for release between May 11 and June 20, 2023, introduces several key features. These include improvements in storefront search scalability and performance for keyword search and product browsing, leading to faster results and improved page load times for large product catalogs. B2C Commerce now also validates hostnames in HTTPS certificates for outgoing connections, reducing the risk of misconnections. The release introduces the option for automatic renewal of Cloudflare provisioned SSL certificates for those who self-manage their certificates. The B2C Commerce CDN-API now supports custom firewall rules for improved rule enforcement and provides immediate log visibility through the new CDN Logpush setup. All these enhancements contribute to a more efficient and secure user experience.

Throughout these years I have participated in the creation of more than 50 ecommerces on different technologies. Today I would like to share a proposal from the team that I consider necessary to carry out a successful project in Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C.

I had the opportunity to attend a training on OMS, Order Management System, at the Salesforce office.
